Years ago, my journey with animals began when someone left a dog on my property. That one dog quickly turned into many—I’ve always loved animals, and somehow, they kept finding me. Rescues from shelters, organizations, and rehoming situations where owners could no longer care for their pets—dogs, cats, horses, and eventually even donkeys—all became part of my family. Every new rescue shaped my path in ways I never expected.

One day, I decided to have a photographer capture my five dogs in action. We went to the park, and as I watched them run around while he took stunning images, something clicked. I thought, I want to do that! Luckily, I already had a professional camera—one I had bought years ago but never truly used.

My first attempt? A disaster. After uploading the images, I realized my dogs… didn’t have legs. Turns out, photography wasn’t as easy as just pressing a button. But that was the start of something new. I dove headfirst into learning—watching online videos, reading books, and absorbing everything I could about camera settings and photography techniques.

In 2022, I attended a workshop that completely changed my perspective. I upgraded my camera and lenses and joined Unleashed Education. At the time, I was working abroad, which meant I couldn’t practice as much as I wanted, but I stayed dedicated to learning the technical and theoretical side. The following year, when I finally had a few months at home, I became serious about pet photography. With time to practice, everything started coming together.

Last year, I completed a six-month course called Embark with Unleashed Education. That was the best investment I ever made—the difference in my images was like night and day. I spent that year doing photoshoots for friends’ dogs and horses, practicing camera techniques, lighting, backgrounds, and, of course, editing—a huge part of photography.

I chose the name BlissfulTails because every rescued animal has a tail (or tale) to tell. Now, I’m ready to capture those stories for others. I want to create lasting memories for pet owners—whether on a phone, in print, or displayed proudly on a wall.

Looking back, I thought I was rescuing my animals. But in truth, they rescued me. This page is all about celebrating that connection—the love, the joy, the goofy moments, and the pure magic of being outdoors, surrounded by the best companions on earth: animals.
